Team Jefferson, a
2005 DARPA Grand Challenge semi-finalist with their
vehicle Tommy, is back with their robotic progeny "Tommy
Jr.". Perrone Robotics, the University of Virginia, and
a cadre of industry professionals and luminaries have
joined forces to form this year's team. Perrone Robotics
brings their robotics software background and general
purpose MAX robotics software platform and toolkit to
the project enabling a low-cost and rapid development
approach. The University of Virginia brings with them a
broad and extensive wealth of mechanical and electronics
expertise. |
